Exciting changes in Adelaide Posted on - Monday, February 25, 2013
The team at Adelaide Paringa are excited about the changes to
Adelaide in 2013. More than $1.2 billion is being spent on Adelaide’s Riverbank
including a footbridge across the Torrens Lake. Cricket fans heading to the
Ashes Test in December will be able to cross the new $40 million Footbridge to
Adelaide Oval. Other works on the Riverbank include pedestrian linkages,
offices and bistro facilities to be integrated in the Festival Centre complex.
Rundle Mall is also going to be redeveloped to create more space. Already the changes have commenced with more seating, greenery and bicycle racks.
Bank Street connecting Hindley Street and North Terrace is also going to experience some significant changes. This will include making the street bicycle friendly, adding more landscaping and increase seating. The transformation to Leigh Street last year was a huge success and we hope Bank Street becomes just as vibrant.
Adelaide Paringa is less than 5 minutes walk from all these exciting transformations so be sure to check them out on your next visit to Adelaide.
